    Instructor

    Dena wanted to share her passion for fitness and nutrition and in 2007 she started doing personal training for family and friends. In 2008, she expanded her reach by becoming certified as an American Council on Exercise (ACE) personal trainer. In 2010, she became Power Pilates certified. Dena loves helping people make positive lifestyle changes through exercise and healthy eating. Her clients range from teens to seniors and she gets energized working with them to create realistic plans that work for their lifestyles. She also benefits because her knowledge and experience grows with every interaction. She believes that we all learn from each other.

    Instructor

    Joey has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from University of Rochester, with a minor in Anthropology. Pilates enlightened her life in 2005 after the birth of her third child.  Pilates became a deep passion and has been the backbone for Joey maintaining and supporting a healthy body and soul.  Joey completed a 450-hour comprehensive instructor training program through Pilates Chicago and became PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) certified in July 2011.  As of August of 2019, PMA certification is now NCPT (Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher).  Joey’s style of teaching is ever evolving as she continues to learn about Pilates and all its valuable effects on movement through ongoing participation at workshops and conferences.  She has taken many workshops with Master Teachers and incorporates new knowledge to classes and private sessions.  With three growing boys, including one with physical disabilities, Joey is very aware that everyone’s needs are different and change with time.  She offers her clients exercises that they need on that day to strive toward a healthy life.

    Fitness has been a part of Julie's life since she was a child. She would go with her family to the YMCA in La Grange. She knew then that feeling good and helping others to feel the same was what she wanted to do. After having her son, she became aware of the importance of conditioning her core and posture and her all over well-being. She became interested in pilates and was Pilates Certified in 2005 and also was also trained in TRX. Julie is happy to call Club Pilates her home. Teaching, moving and helping others understand their bodies and how to become strong is important to her. Julie is also AFAA and ACE certified for group fitness and personal training and also has her 200-hour Yoga Certification.

  • Maura

    Maura MS, ATC, has always participated in competitive sports, so her ideal job would have been to incorporate athletics into her career. After becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer she obtained her Masters in Exercise Physiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Maura worked for Illinois Sports Medicine, rehabbing athletes and clients in a clinical setting and preventative in the training rooms in the high school setting. She also worked in the personal training arena which became her passion. She loves working with individuals and instructing classes. In 2004, Maura became certified in Pilates Mat by Body in Balance and since has advanced her certifications in all the equipment. She incorporates pilates into her daily programs. In addition, beginning in 2012, Maura began studying with Douglas Heel and received the Be-Activated Certification (Neuromuscular Activation) which is a performance enhancing tool that resets your body to the fullest potential while providing injury prevention and rehabilitation. Maura’s one factor of fitness that will always remain: CONSISTENCY IS KEY. Whatever form of movement you choose, being consistent will allow you to attain your goals.

    Sheri opened Club Pilates La Grange after leaving her Corporate career to focus on bringing pilates to everyone! She has an MBA from the University of Chicago and a BBA in Accounting from the University of Iowa. She always dreamt of being an entrepreneur and owning her own business that combines her years of business knowledge with her passion of fitness and pilates. After working for Harley-Davidson for 17 years, it was extremely important for her to find a strong brand that builds a strong community, creates positivity and makes others feel better! Sheri loves pilates as it not only builds a strong core, creates muscle tone and improves one’s overall health, but it is also fun! She loves working with an amazing team of Instructors and studio staff to support others. Sheri is also a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher and currently working on her pilates certification through Club Pilates.

    Jill became Mat Pilates Certified in 2015 when she started teaching pilates mat classes as a substitute. She received her 500-hour comprehensive Pilates Certification with Club Pilates in 2019. Jill believes everyone should practice pilates to strengthen their body for daily life. With injuries of her own she understands the importance of proper alignment, stretching and strength building. She likes her classes to be fun while challenging each student to reach their full potential. Jill is also a 200-hour Certified Yoga Teacher and is AFAA certified in group fitness and AEA certification in water aerobics.

    Instructor

    Ashlee's journey into Pilates began in 2012 in an attempt to get her abs back after pregnancy; what she found was a demanding physical practice and unknown strength deep inside her core. To complement her career in physical therapy, she continued to complete a comprehensive training program in 2014 with Body Arts and Science International. Today she provides an integrative approach to mind body wellness. She uses a method of teaching movement that is physically and mentally challenging yet therapeutic, aiming to nourish the benefits she found in the practice within her clients in a dynamic class environment as well as personalized sessions. She has been with Club Pilates since 2017.

    Instructor

    Caroline is a 500 hour certified Pilates Instructor, a 200 hour Yoga Instructor, and has held many other fitness certifications over her 25 years as a group fitness instructor. She loves the challenge and all the benefits that the Pilates practice offers for the mind and body. She likes to have fun when she teaches as well as when she works out. Caroline likes to teach unique class flows to keep the body wondering and challenged. She considers herself a “gentle nudger”. She likes to encourage members to try increasing their level of challenge gracefully while building up their strength and practice.

    Alexis began practicing Pilates in 2007 after spending her life as a competitive gymnast. She suffered a severe hip injury after running a half marathon, and was only able to rehab completely by doing Pilates. After understanding and appreciating how it changed her health, she became a regular student with a desire to understand every aspect of it. After realizing the impact it made on her life, she decided to go from student to teacher, and is now comprehensively certified through STOTT since 2014. Alexis has a passion for athletic conditioning, and specializes in working with professional athletes and sport specific training. She also holds certifications in Barre and TRX.
